Schweitzer Mountain Resort unveils new dining, spa, and family experiences for the 2025–2026 season.
There’s something special about Schweitzer.
Every year, it somehow manages to feel both familiar and brand new. This winter, that’s truer than ever. Whether you’ve owned a condo here for years, or you’re one of the thousands who make the trip each season, Schweitzer’s 2025–2026 lineup takes “mountain lifestyle” to another level.

Sunrise at 6,000 Feet: Summit Sunrise Breakfast
If you’ve ever watched the sun crest over Lake Pend Oreille, you know there’s nothing quite like it. Starting in January, Schweitzer will host its new Summit Sunrise Breakfast on select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Guests will ride the lift early, settle into Sky House before the crowds arrive, and enjoy a themed prix-fixe breakfast with optional mimosas while the morning light spills across the Selkirks. When the lifts officially open, you’ll already be on the mountain, making first tracks while everyone else is still parking their cars.
It’s an experience made for those who live for that quiet, golden start to a ski day.
The resort plans to open for the 2025–2026 ski season on Friday, November 21, 2025, weather permitting, kicking off what’s expected to be one of the most exciting winters Schweitzer has ever had.
Dinner by Snowcat: The Return of Sky House Snowcat Dinners
After sunset, Schweitzer flips the script. The beloved Sky House Snowcat Dinners are back, combining fine dining with alpine adventure. Guests begin in the village with a Champagne reception, then take the lift to the summit for a multi-course meal paired with wine and sweeping mountain views. The night ends with a snowcat ride down under the stars, a mix of elegance, adrenaline, and pure North Idaho magic.
Wellness Elevated: 7B-IV Joins Cambium Spa
For anyone who plays hard at Schweitzer, whether skiing, snowboarding, or mountain biking in the summer, recovery just got easier.
7B-IV, a locally owned Sandpoint wellness company founded by Melinda Adams, has partnered with Cambium Spa inside the Selkirk Lodge to offer full IV therapy on the mountain.
Located on the 3rd floor, guests can now book treatments designed for hydration, immune support, energy boosts, and muscle recovery including popular drips like The Rejuvenator, Performance Plus, and Immunity Revive.
It’s convenience meets restoration and another reason Schweitzer continues to blur the line between adventure and luxury.

Family Focused: Kids Ski Free Week Returns
From December 6–12, 2025, Schweitzer is once again hosting Kids Ski Free Week, where children 17 and under ski or ride at no cost with online preregistration. It’s part of the resort’s continued effort to make mountain life more accessible and memorable for families, the kind of event that turns a quick trip into a lifelong tradition.
Fly Alaska, Ski Free
Schweitzer’s partnership with Alaska Airlines is also back. Fly into Spokane on an Alaska flight from Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boise, Portland, or San Diego, and show your same-day boarding pass for a free lift ticket that day.
For second-home owners or frequent visitors, this perk makes spontaneous weekends at Schweitzer even easier.
Expanded Ski & Ride School
Schweitzer continues to invest in the next generation of riders. New full-day group lessons for ages 6–12 and a Freestyle Camp for kids mastering terrain parks and freeride zones are being added this winter. Programs like Mountain Xplorers remain at the heart of Schweitzer’s youth offerings, helping kids learn confidence, mountain safety, and that unbeatable feeling of freedom on snow.
Continued Growth and Investment
These additions build on over $75 million in improvements over the past five years, including the Humbird Hotel, Cambium Spa, new high-speed lift, and Schweitzer Backcountry Adventures. Each upgrade has helped evolve Schweitzer from a great regional ski hill into a full-service, four-season destination resort, all without losing its North Idaho soul.
Final Thought
Schweitzer has always been about more than skiing. It’s about moments. The early morning quiet before first chair, dinner by snowcat light, or a mid-day recharge at the spa.
Whether you own at Schweitzer or dream of it, these new experiences highlight just how much the mountain lifestyle keeps evolving.
